Resizing your Image in PSP

Open your image by going to File - Open,
then browsing until you find the folder that you have it saved in. Then click on the name of your image and then Open.
This is the image I am using:

The image that I have open here is 432 wide by 456 tall. I found that out be going to Image, Image Information:

Then this box opens:

This tells me the width and the height of my image. My button that I want to use it on is say 300 x 300, so I want to decrease my image size to about 150 in width. I then go to Image, then Resize:

When that box opens, I want to change my Pixel Dimensions options box from percent to pixels, so I will know exactly how large my image will be:

I also want to make sure the Lock aspect ratio is checked, and the Resize all layers is checked. Then I click inside the width box and type in 150. This is because I want my image to be 150 pixels wide. Notice that when I type in 150 for the width, the height is automatically entered as 159. That is because of the Lock aspect ratio box is checked, therefore, anytime one number is changed, psp automatically changes the other number to keep the image in the correct ratio.
Now, here is my image after it has been resized:

Now your image is ready to be used on your button.
