Masks
Section 1, Page 2
*Note* This page is graphics
heavy, please give it time to load.
OK, we have our mask merged with
our image, so now we are going to put a Drop Shadow on it.
Here are the settings that I used for this:

OK, now we want to get the
eyedropper tool and
select a complementing color from our picture, I used #FDFDE5.
Then we add a New Raster Layer, go to Layers, New Raster Layer.

Go to
your Layer Palette and left click on your Layer 2 and drag Layer 2
Below Layer 1, then X out Layer 1.

Now, make sure your layer 2 is
active, (color will be blue as above) and using your paint can,
flood fill your Layer 2, with the complementing color that you chose
earlier, then click on Layer 1 to remove the X from it.

Now, we will add a border. Go to Image, Add
Border

A box will pop up with a warning,
just click Yes, this just merges your layers. Then the box
pops up for you to put in the size of your border. We want to
Uncheck the Symmetric box, because we just want the border to go on
the right side of the picture.

But we need to know what size to make the border,
so we put our ruler on, (View, Ruler) go to the widest part of of
your image, and that shows us it is 180 pixels. Subtract that
from 1024 pixels, which is the width of most of your email
stationery. And that gives you 844 pixels is what you need for
your border.

Now we want to use our FM Tile
Tool, so go to Effects, Plug Ins, FM Tile Tool, and Seamless Tile:

A Box will pop up and this is the settings I used.

Here is your image after using the
Seamless Tile:

Name your image and save it to your
Stationery folder, and Walla, you are finished. See, that
wasn't hard at all.
Next, we will do a mask where we
load it from the disk, and put a border around an image.
